The JV boys played well but succumbed to a strong defense. The varsity guys owned it.
Junior Varsity 41-47 L. Varsity 59-36 W.

According to sources within Dawson Basketball, the girls and JV boys got worked, and the varsity boys got lucky.

The Mustangs showed a new level of coordination and drive, and the entire contest was a close battle of teamwork and will.
We maintained a slight edge throughout the game, but a Dawson technical foul helped Erie tie it up at the end of the fourth, and so we went into an extra period. The 5th was a game of attrition, with fouls and free throws making the only scoreboard movements. We played valiantly before the cacophonous Tiger bleachers, but we fell in the end, 66-64.
What a great game. Keep it up guys!
